Tasty Here's what you will need for the meatball:
1 pound ground beef
1/2 small onion, finely diced
3 cloves garlic, finely minced
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
McCormick Italian Blend Herb Grinder
1 teaspoon salt
Mix all together gently. Shape into small mini meatballs, about the size of a nickel. Bake in 350 oven 15 minutes.
1 pound refrigerator pizza dough (your local pizzeria will sell this to you or find at the grocery store)
Here's what you will need for the coating:
Garlic butter
6 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, finely minced
McCormick Italian spice blend herb grinder
Melt all garlic butter ingredients in a small saucepan, set aside. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
To assemble:
Cut a small piece of pizza dough and roll into a snake-like rope. Make a small indentation in the center and tie a knot around the meatball, pinching the ends underneath. Place on a baking sheet. Lightly brush with garlic butter and bake 20-25 minutes until dough is lightly brown and cooked through. Reserve remaining butter.
To finish, add garlic knots to a large mixing bowl, toss with remaining garlic butter and 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese.

Sam Dash And now for the self-righteous Italians to show up and say "this isn't how you make meatballs".

Stephanie Sullivan
Stephanie Sullivan Matthew Gambuzza if you could have this ready when we get home, that'd be great... I'd just prefer you maybe put a little fresh mozzarella inside the meatball inside the dough and maybe some homemade marinara sauce to dip in.

Laurie Gilmore Stephanie Maas - we should try this with the crescent rolls that you do with little smokies - we could do some smokies & some meatballs. Easter.....hum! We could even do some with cheese & no meat! (Instead of the cheesy bread we were thinking of)????

Elisa Barros Edited the recipe to be gluten free because I have celiac disease. And WOW! SOO delicious. Very time consuming and makes a TON but was worth it. Even the bf who doesn't usually eat gluten free really enjoyed! Thanks for this recipe!
